iPhone 5! That's the name.
So, iPhone 5. It is made entirely of glass and aluminum. It's designed and built to an exacting level of standard unlike anything we, or anyone in our industry, have made before.
It's the thinnest and lightest iPhone yet. 7.6mm thick, 18% thinner than before.
It's the world's thinnest smartphone, says Phil. Weighs 112 grams. 20% lighter than the 4S.
It's a 326ppi Retina display, 4-inches. 1136 x 640 resolution. Same width, but taller.
New chip, the A6! 2X faster CPU and 2x graphics compared to the A5 -- is this compared to the A5 or A5X?
Ah, A6! So the "5" in iPhone 5 certainly doesn't apply to the processor, numerically.
Battery life. "What [our team] has done is not only match but exceed the battery life of the iPhone 4S.
8-megapixel sensor, a 5-element lens and f/2.4 aperture. Same as the iPhone 4S but thinner.
The front-facing camera is now 720p, backside illuminated.
The speaker has a 5-magnet transducer. That's three more magnets in your transducer. Each one a mystery.
So a lot has changed, and it's time for the connector to evolve. Our new connector is called Lightning. So we have Thunderbolt and Lightning.
All digital, 8-signal design, adaptive interface, improved durability, reversable.
Two colors! Black or white front.
No NFC, unfortunately, nor any talk about using Bluetooth 4.0 for near-field communications.
No wireless charging, either. You'll need to keep that Lightning cable handy.
Same price as the 4S. $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB. That's on-contract pricing, of course. iPhone 4 is now free on contract! 4S is now $99.
Pre-orders start on Friday the 14th. Shipping on September 21st in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, 3GS, new iPad, iPad 2 and iPod touch all are getting iOS 6.
That drops on September 19th.
Today we're introducing a new version of iTunes.
New mini-player design.
New iTunes is available in late October. Interesting.
三、iPod nano 7th generation
Prepare yourself: new iPods are coming. iPod nano is first.
It's super tiny but has a wider screen than before. Looks to have a tiny Home button. It's 5.4mm, 38% thinner than the last Nano!
2.5-inch display in the nano that's multitouch.
Seven colors, aluminum, black, purple, green, blue, yellow and red.
iPod nano is 16GB for $149, available in October.
四、iPod touch 5th generation
Time for the 5th generation -- "It's the best iPod touch we've ever made."
Just 6.1mm thick, 88 grams in weight, looks to offer similar styling as before but slightly more squared back.
So, 4-inch display.
It's now rocking the A5 processor, so it finally steps up to dual-core processing.
It's a 5-megapixel iSight camera. Backside illuminated, f/2.4, 5-element lens and that same sapphire crystal lens cover.
Sadly, no 4G wireless for the iPod touch. Mr. Darren Murph is disappointed.
You may have noticed there's a little circle on the bottom of the touch. We call it the loop. You push the circle and it pops up a loop... for a bracelet. Clumsy Ninja, this is perfect for you.
And for the first time, we're supporting Siri on the new iPod touch.
Five colors -- raw aluminum, black, blue, yellow and red.
5th gen iPod touch 32GB is $299 or 64GB for $399, available in October.
We spent 3 years designing new headphones. EarPods.
They look like no earphone you've ever seen before." Actually, we saw these in some leaked photos about a week back, but indeed they are distinctively designed.
It has a directed speaker port that points forward into your ear canal.
These will be shipping starting today, if you want to buy them standalone. They're included with the new iPod touch, the new iPod nano and with the new iPhone 5. Not with the shuffle, though?
